Northwest and Minford entered this game with both teams coming off a loss and they were looking to get back on track with a win. This game featured tough defense, very little offense, and turnovers which resulted in a low scoring ball game.

Northwest took over to start the game as they jumped out to an early 5-0 lead before Minford's Colt Donahoe knocked down a three-point jumper. The Mohawks continued their dominance through the first quarter as they held a 16-7 lead.

This game quickly became a game of two quarters as Minford bounced back to tie the game at 20. Northwest struggled taking care of the basketball which contributed to the Falcon's comeback. Despite the comeback, Northwest ended the half on a strong note as they scored 5 straight buckets to take a 25-22 lead into halftime.

In the second half, the Mohawks were able to get started early as they increased their lead to 12 with a 39-27 lead. But, just like the second quarter, Northwest began turning the ball over which led to the Falcon's going on a 12-0 run to tie the game at 39.

As this game was winding down, both teams traded buckets until the final buzzer. With the Falcons now down three with under a minute to-go, they reverted to fouling to extend the game. This gameplan seemed to work as Northwest struggled to make all of their free-throws going 2-4. This allowed Minford to cut the lead to 1, but they fouled Ethan Crabtree who knocked down a pair. Now being down 3, Minford called a timeout to prepare for the final seconds of the game. The Falcon's struggled inbounding the ball but found Ashton Reeder who dribbled up the right sideline. Reeder then attempted a last second three-pointer which was blocked by Carson Christian.

Northwest went on to win this game 49-46 in a close game. The Mohawks improved their record to 4-3 while the Falcon's lost their second straight game and falling to a 2-6 record.
